Birds Blockprint Shirt

€65.00

A wearable work of art designed and illustrated by Lucas Levitan, this cotton shirt celebrates the ancient craft of blockprinting through a contemporary lens.

Each piece is created using traditional blockprint techniques at a small family-run factory in India, where seventh-generation artisans bring centuries of wood carving expertise to life. The intricate bird motif is hand-carved into wooden blocks, then carefully printed onto pure cotton using natural dyes and fabric inks that honor both heritage and the environment.

This is more than a shirt—it's a collaboration between modern design and timeless craftsmanship. As part of our first small collection, each piece is produced in very limited quantities, making yours truly one of a kind.

Details:

  • 100% cotton

  • Hand-blockprinted using natural dyes

  • Designed by Lucas Levitan

  • Made in partnership with 7th generation Indian artisans

  • Very limited edition—first collection

Slight variations in print placement and color intensity are natural characteristics of the hand-blockprinting process, ensuring each shirt is uniquely yours.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping

Hi! I'm Lucas, and I'm running this whole operation solo (with a little help from my printer when it decides to cooperate). I'm absolutely thrilled to be getting these designs out into the world and into your hands!

I pack every order myself and aim to get things shipped within 2-4 working days—though I'll be honest, some weeks are busier than others. I don't ship on weekends because, well, even one-person shows need a day off!

Shipping costs are based on your location and the weight of your order. I've partnered with reliable carriers to make sure your package arrives safely, but I appreciate your patience as I navigate the wonderful world of international shipping logistics (still learning something new every day!).

Got questions or need to change something about your order? Just drop me a message—I read every single one.

Returns & Exchanges

I really want you to love what you've ordered. If something's not quite right, I offer returns and exchanges within 14 days of purchase. Items need to be in their original condition with tags still attached. Just a heads up that I can't refund shipping fees—those couriers charge me whether the package comes back or not!

Contact me directly and I'll walk you through it. No corporate jargon, just me trying to make things right.

Customs, Duties & Taxes

For international orders: I'm not able to cover customs duties or taxes that your country charges—those are between you and your local customs office. If your package arrives damaged, please contact the shipping carrier directly to file a claim, and then let me know so I can help however I can.

Thanks for supporting this little adventure of mine. It genuinely means a lot!

CARE

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Your shirt was made with love by artisans who've been perfecting their craft for generations. Let's keep it looking beautiful together.

Hand Wash Only
I know, I know, hand washing isn't everyone's favorite activity. But trust me, this garment will thank you for it. The blockprint and natural dyes need a gentler touch than your washing machine can offer.

Cold Water is Your Friend
Always use cold water to keep those natural dyes vibrant and prevent any bleeding. Hot water and natural dyes? Not a great combination (I learned this the hard way with my first blockprint shirt I bought).

Natural Detergents Only
Stick with natural, gentle detergents to keep the fabric happy. Harsh chemicals can mess with the natural fibers and dyes, and after all the work that went into making this, let's not undo it with aggressive soap.

The Don'ts

  • No bleach (please, never bleach)

  • No soaking

  • No tumble dryer

  • No wringing or twisting the fabric

Drying & Ironing
Gently squeeze out excess water, don't wring it like you're angry at it, then lay flat or hang on a line to dry. Keep it away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. Once dry, a cool iron will smooth out any wrinkles nicely.

Treat your shirt with a bit of care, and it'll be part of your wardrobe for years to come.

Think of it as a small ritual rather than a chore, I promise it gets easier.
